Pulling inspiration from the bleak Hamilton mountain, rapper Cozjin Carter aims high above his peers in hopes to break free from mediocracy, and assault the current hip hop scene with audacity and poise. Known on stage simply as "Cozjin", the Canadian performer blends his deep understanding of rhythm, lyric delivery, and infectious R&B hooks with his own personal stories and ideals to create a sonic onslaught likened to rap greats such as Jay-Z, Kanye West, and Kendrick Lamar. In the four years he's been operating, Cozjin has already worked with production heavy-hitters such as Chef Byer and 88-Keys (in Hamilton and New York respectively), and has traveled to LA to work with Grammy-nominated Arthur McArthur (whose credits include Drake, Rick Ross, Dr. Dre and more). After 200 people attended his first hometown headliner, gaining coverage on CBC, and being invited to open for Riff Raff for his first out of town show in Windsor, ON. It's easy to imagine where he's going, and how fast he'll get there.
